Collegeville & Norristown
The Longview Center for Agriculture (formerly Willow Creek Orchards) will act as a regional hub for reconnecting with the land, our community and the food that sustains us. Consisting of 90 acres of certified organic farmland, including an organic fruit orchard and an on-site Farmer's Market, the Longview Center is host to weekly Lost Arts Workshops and serves as a connection point for farm-based education in area elementary schools.
We see The Longview Center for Agriculture as a regional hub for training the new farmers who'll grow a thriving sustainable food movement. Through the First Generation Farmers Program We will create a dynamic training ground for new farmers to gain experience in multiple aspects of farming and to find success in the new food economy.
The Longview Center Market will provide access to local foods grown on site and nearby for the entire community. We carry products that are local and humanely raised; that support independent small farms and land stewardship; and that show a commitment to community.
Formerly Willow Creek Orchards, The Longview Center for Agriculture in Collegeville, PA is a new project in 2011, created to further our mission of cultivating a better food system.
